At Nat’s, we design lightweight, waterproof EVA and winter
boots that are built to keep you warm and dry — available with or without a
safety toe cap. Whether you’re working in construction, farming, hunting and
fishing, tackling home renovations, or enjoying winter activities, proper
care can make all the difference.
Here are 5 SIMPLE TIPS to help you get the most out of your boots:
1. CLEAN YOUR BOOTS REGULARLY
EVA is known for being lightweight and water-resistant, but it still needs a little care to stay in top shape. After a day in the snow, mud, or on the job site:
- Wash your boots with warm, soapy water using a soft cloth.
- Avoid
abrasive products or harsh solvents.
- Rinse
thoroughly and let them air-dry.
Important: Avoid hot water or direct heat sources (like
a wood-burning stove), as they can warp or damage the material.
2. REMOVE AND AIR OUT THE INSULATED LINERS
Our insulated winter and rain boots come with removable foam
liners to help them dry quickly and stay fresh. To keep them in great shape:
- Remove the liners after each use.
- Let them dry in a well-ventilated area, away from direct heat.
- Replace
them when they become worn or less effective — replacement liners are
available!
3. STORE THEM PROPERLY
To maintain the shape and flexibility of your boots:
- Store
at room temperature, in a dry, well-ventilated area.
- Avoid
prolonged exposure to sunlight or damp environments.
- For
long-term storage (like at the end of winter), stuff them with paper to
help maintain their shape.
4. USE THEM FOR THE RIGHT TASKS
Our EVA boots are super versatile, but they're not built for
everything. To get the most out of them, use them for the jobs they’re made
for.
✅ Great for:
- Light
to moderate construction (residential worksites, yard work)
- Agriculture
and livestock farming (mud, rain, barn cleaning)
- Recreational
fishing
- Outdoor Chores (shoveling, gardening, wood storage)
❌ Avoid using for:
- High-temperature
environments (like welding or intense heat exposure)
- Jobs
involving corrosive chemicals
- Work
with sharp or abrasive materials (metal cutting, forestry, heavy-duty handling)
* EVA is ultra-light, flexible, comfortable and 100%
waterproof, but it doesn't offer the same cut or abrasion resistance as rubber
or PU, used in heavy-duty utility boots.
5. REPLACE PARTS AS NEEDED
If you notice a crack, puncture, damaged safety toe, or
weakened EVA, it’s time to replace your boots to maintain protection and
waterproofing.
Got a damp or worn sole? A thinned-out or less insulating
liner? These parts can be replaced anytime to keep your boots comfortable and
supportive.
CONCLUSION
A little care goes a long way! With proper maintenance, your
Nat’s boots will keep performing season after season. Our EVA models are built
to last — just show them a bit of love in return.
